The paintings depict diverse stories where tropical and global south plants that are held hostage in European botanical gardens and greenhouses are protected and nurtured by the spirits of racialized people who were murdered by European institutional racism. These plants, in alliance with animals and anti-colonial spirits, manage to confront and bring justice to those politicians and subjects responsible for historical, structural and institutional racism.
