PATRICE LUMUMBA

Patrice Lumumba's sons were rescued from the Democratic Republic of Congo shortly after the coup d'état supported by the CIA and the Belgian state. With Lumumba already imprisoned and Mobutu in power, Mohamed Abdulaziz Ishak, an Egyptian diplomat from the socialist government of Gamal Abdel Nasser, carried out a cautious operation, managing to get the sons of the revolutionary Lumumba out of the country and taking them to Cairo to avoid them being assassinated like their father.

This matryoshka depicts in painting this story of organization to protect and save the lives of Lumumba's children.
