ANTI-COLONIAL PLEGARIANSHIP TO FERNANDITO TUPAC AMARU

Anti-colonial prayer painted as an ex-voto to the rebellious spirit of Fernandito Tupac Amaru, son of Micaela Bastidas and Tupac Amaru II, who after being detained by the Spanish colonial authorities for the anti-colonial uprising led by his parents in 1780 was forcibly exiled to Spain and finally died in the Lavapiés neighborhood in 1799, a neighborhood that today is characterized by being a migrant and anti-racist neighborhood.
